As part of the vision, Yaskawa Electric introduced the I3-Mechatronics concept and as a first step, Σ-X AC servo drives were developed to collect data which helps users visualize and analyze a manufacturing process. Σ-X products are able to collect important data from the same axis time in order to reach an insight linking the movement status of each device to changes in equipment movement as a way to understand problems in the process.
